Create your Google Analytics account
Before we start, you will need to create a Google Analytics account. Please note that your Google Analytics account should be a Universal Analytics account (Google Analytics 3).
Enable Enhanced Ecommerce Reporting
Step 1: Sign in to your Google Analytics account.
Step 2: Select the “Admin” tab and click on “Ecommerce Settings” under the “View” column.
Step 3: Turn on both “Enable Ecommerce” and “Enable Enhanced Ecommerce Reporting” options, then click “Save”.
Connect your Shopify Account
Step 1: Go to Online store > Preferences on your Shopify Admin.
Step 2: In the Google Analytics section, paste your Universal Analytics Tracking ID in the Google Analytics Account field.
Step 3: Select the option “Use Enhanced Ecommerce”. If you're using an older version of Google Analytics, you might need to upgrade to the latest version before you can click the Use Enhanced Ecommerce checkbox.
Connect your A/B Testing campaigns
Step 1: From the GemPages Dashboard, click on the Settings icon and select the Store settings tab.
Step 2: Under Analytics Tools, toggle on the Google Analytics option.
Step 3: Choose the Google Account you want to connect to and allow the connection by agreeing to Google's terms and conditions.
Step 4: Choose the Accounts, Properties, and Views you'd like to track with A/B Testing.
That’s it! The data from your Google Analytics will now be synced with the A/B testing campaign report.
