When you have finished your homepage, there is only one last step to make it live and your customer can access it.
On the homepage dashboard, click on the button "Make Default" of your homepage, to replace your theme’s original homepage with the one you have just created.
There is another way to update your homepage, you can do it within the editor.
Click on the "Publish" button on the top right corner > hit "Make Default" >> then click on the Eye icon next to it to view the page on the live store.
Whenever you want to revert Shopify's Default Homepage back, you always can click on the "Back To Original" button from the dashboard.
Alternatively, you can also click on the button "Discard Default" in the editor. Automatically, your created homepage will be rolled back to draft, and Shopify's Default Homepage will be published again.
I uninstalled GemPages, how can I revert my theme’s homepage back?
In this case, you can visit your "Shopify Admin Panel"> "Online Store" > "Theme" > "Actions" > "Edit Code"
Open the file index.liquid from the dropdown menu, roll back to the "Original " version, and hit "Save". That’s the version including codes of your original Shopify theme.
