Why do you need to remove the current Mailchimp element?
On April 30, a potential security gap was detected in GemPages’ Mailchimp Newsletter Element. Thus, we have temporarily disabled the Mailchimp integration for the customers’ best interests. If your pages include the Mailchimp widget, please consider these alternatives while we resolve the issue.
Remove the Mailchimp element on your pages
Choose the page you want to edit on the GemPages dashboard. Right-click on the Mailchimp element on your page > Delete > Publish.
Disable the Mailchimp API key
If you're worried that an API key has been compromised, or you no longer use the integration that was accessing your account through a particular API key, it can be easily disabled by following the steps below:
Step 1: Open the API Keys section of your account.
Step 2: Find the API key that you want to disable, and toggle the button in the Status column of that API key.
Step 3: In the pop-up modal, click Disable.
Kindly check out this article for further information.
Alternatives: Embed Mailchimp form or integrate Klaviyo
We are working closely with Shopify to make sure customer information is secured and prevent any incident like this from occurring in the future. Please stay patient with us and wait for further announcements.
Thank you so much for your kind understanding and don't hesitate to let us know if there is anything else GemPages can help you with!
