To integrate a third-party app with GemPages, first, check if it’s in the list of built-in elements. If it’s there, follow the instructions. If not, for Editor version 6, add your app’s code using the Liquid element. You can usually find this code in the app’s docs or by asking their support team. Keep in mind that the steps for connecting your app with GemPages may vary, so be flexible. For Editor version 7, check out this article for more ways to connect a third-party app.
If you run into any issues, reach out to GemPages support via email or live chat for help.
It is important to note that GemPages works on top of your active theme. The design that you will get to see on your preview page comes from what is inherited from the active theme in your Shopify admin. You may find further information in our article on “How GemPages works with your theme”.
GemPages is a page builder that primarily focuses on providing intuitive and flexible editing tools for customizing the body section of your web pages.
It cannot be used to modify the Header and Footer directly, but you can hide or display them while designing your page within the app.
The app offers a responsive design approach, which means that the layout of your website will automatically adjust to fit the screen size of the device accessing it. Additionally, Gempages provides a mobile preview function that allows you to see how your website will look on mobile devices and make any necessary adjustments. For more information, you can refer to our article about responsive design.
Gempages also includes a variety of pre-designed templates that are optimized for mobile devices, making it easy to get started with your design.
