What is the Collection Title Element?
The Collection Title Element is an element in GemPages that enables you to add the title of a collection to your page.
It’s designed to be used only on collection pages, providing a clear label for the various collections in your store, and enhancing both aesthetics and navigation.
How to Add the Collection Title Element to Your Collection Page?
Step 1: In the GemPages editor, navigate to the element search bar. Type in Collection Title to quickly find the element.
Step 2: Once you’ve located the element, drag it onto your desired location on the collection page. Position it where you’d like the title to appear.
Collection Title Element Settings
Once the element is added to your page, you can customize its appearance to align with your store’s branding and design preferences. The settings allow you to modify the following:
1. Text
- Styles:
Choose whether you want the title to be styled as a heading or a paragraph. This will affect its prominence on the page. - Font:
Choose a font that matches the style of your store. - Size:
Adjust the size of the title to fit your page layout. - Bold/Italic/Underline:
Use these options to emphasize the text. - Color:
Select a color that stands out and complements the overall design. - Font Weight:
Adjust the weight to make the title bolder or lighter. - Line Height:
Modify the space between the lines of text, which can improve readability. - Letter Spacing:
Fine-tune the space between each character for a more polished look. - Transform:
This option allows you to change the text to uppercase, lowercase, or capitalize the first letter of each word.
2. Align
This setting lets you align the collection title left, center, right, or justify, based on your design preferences.
3. SEO
To improve search engine optimization (SEO), you can choose the HTML tag for the collection title.
Choose a heading tag that fits the hierarchy of your page content. For the most prominent title, use H1 (typically the main title), or use H2 – H6 for less emphasized titles.
How to Change Collection Title?
To change a collection title, it must be done within Shopify. Here’s how:
Step 1: Go to Shopify Admin > Products > Collections. Select the collection you want to edit.
Step 2: Change the collection title as needed.
Step 3: Click Save to confirm the changes.
