What is a Section?
A section is a distinct content block that forms part of a page on your Shopify store. Think of it as a “building block” used to design your page.
Sections allow you to:
- Add structured content to your pages.
- Customize layouts for specific needs.
- Rearrange and modify elements without affecting the entire page design.
How Many Sections Can I Create?
Shopify allows you to add up to 25 sections per template. Each section can contain up to 50 blocks, which are smaller elements within the section, such as text, images, or buttons.

Not every section has individual blocks available for customization, depending on the design.
