Basic settings of a page

This article will walk you through the basic steps of managing a page/template with GemPages.

To begin, you will need to access your GemPages dashboard and select the page you would like to take action.

Hide the header and footer

In some cases, you might need to hide the header and footer on your page. Please check out this article for more information.

Duplicate a page

These steps will guide you on how to duplicate a page.

To the same page type

Step 1: Click on the three-dot button on the right side of the selected page. Hit the “Duplicate” option.

Step 2: Enter your page title and select “Duplicate”.

To a different page type

Step 1: Click on the three-dot button on the right side of the selected page. Hit the “Duplicate to” option.

Step 2: Next, select the page type you would like to duplicate the page to, enter the new page title, and hit “Duplicate”.

Please note that the default page can’t be duplicated to other page types. Please make another page default to enable the action, and switch back when you’re done.

Delete a page

Step 1: Click on the three-dot button on the right side of the page that should be deleted. Hit the “Delete” option.

 

Step 2: There will be an opened window asking you to confirm if you would like to erase the page.  Type “confirm” and select “Delete” then.

Unlink from GemPages

For Landing pages and Blog posts, you will have the option to unlink a page that helps you disconnect your page with GemPages. After you unlink your page from GemPages, it will use the theme template instead. Kindly follow the below steps to do so.

Step 1: Click on the three-dot button on the right side of the selected page. Hit “Unlink page”.

Step 2: There will be an opened window asking you to confirm that you would like to unlink the page. Click on “Unlink GemPages”.
