What is the GemPages Affiliate Program?
The GemPages Affiliate Program is a marketing initiative that allows individuals to earn commissions by promoting GemPages and referring new customers. Affiliates receive a unique tracking link to monitor sales generated through their referrals.
Registration
1. How can I join the GemPages affiliate program?
To join the GemPages Affiliate Program, fill out the application form using this link. You’ll need to provide your personal website or a description of your relevant work. After submission, our team will review your application and notify you of your approval status.
2. When will I start making money?
After submitting your account application, our team will review and approve it. Once approved as an affiliate, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to log in to the affiliate dashboard. From there, you can start promoting GemPages and begin earning money right away.
3. How does the application approval process work?
We carefully review all applications manually, examining the information you provided and the content of your website, YouTube channel, or other social media accounts. If we do not reply to you within thirty (30) days, the application is considered to be rejected.
4. Why was my account rejected/suspended?
Accounts may be rejected or suspended for various reasons, please refer to our Affiliate Agreement for more details.
5. Why can’t I log in to my account?
If you’re having trouble logging into your GemPages Partner account, here are some possible reasons:
- Your email or passport is incorrect
- Your account may be blocked
- Your account no longer exists

Tracking
1. How are the sales tracked?
Sales are tracked through a unique affiliate link assigned to you upon registration. When a customer clicks your link and makes a purchase, the sale is recorded in our system.
2. What is a tracking link?
A tracking link is a unique URL given to you as an affiliate. This link contains special parameters that allow us to trace any resulting sales back to your account.
3. How long does an affiliate cookie last?
Affiliate cookies are retained for 45 days. However, if a user already has a cookie from a previous affiliate in their browser, it will be replaced by the new cookie. GemPages is not responsible for any cookies that users intentionally delete.
4. How often are the clicks and conversions updated?
Clicks and conversions are updated in real-time on the Affiliate Dashboard.
5. What happens if the client cancels the plan?
GemPages offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. During this period, the clients may still be able to cancel the plan. If the client cancels his plan during this period, the commission is also revoked.
6. Can I receive a commission if the transaction is completed without using my referral link?
Unfortunately, not. The commission is exclusively given for transactions that occur through your unique tracking link.
Commissions and Payouts
1. How is the commission calculated?
You receive a recurring commission based on the customer’s first purchase and the tier of the product purchased. The commission rates vary on several criteria, such as performance, meeting commitments, volume, and quality requirements of their referral goals.
The commission is paid on the remaining qualifying purchases after the deduction of the Shopify fee (20%), including promotions, discounts, and anything that affects the initial price.
2. Are there limits on earning commissions?
Yes, commissions don’t apply to special programs like Multi-Store or Nonprofit discounts. You can’t refer yourself, and you’ll only earn one commission per referral, even if they buy multiple accounts.
3. Will I get paid for GemPages renewals or upgrades?
Yes, you are eligible to receive additional commissions if a customer upgrades to a higher-tiered product in the future. In case a customer downgrades, you will still receive the commission associated with that downgrade.
4. Will I get paid for clicks?
Commissions are based on sales, not clicks. You do not get paid for clicks that do not result in a completed purchase.
5. What are the payout requirements?
To receive a payout for your commission, you must have a PayPal account. The minimum payout amount is $50. A Paypal fixed fee of 4% will be deducted from the payout. You are responsible for all reversals, chargebacks, claims, fees, fines, penalties, and other liability incurred when requesting any payments.
6. Why is there a PayPal fee?
The PayPal fee is charged by the payment processor for handling the transaction. This fee is deducted from your total payout before it reaches you.
7. When can I expect to receive payment?
Payout requests are processed monthly, usually during the first week of the month after your request, as long as you submit it before the 24th of the current month. If you experience any delays, we suggest contacting our support team for help.
8. Which payment method GemPages support?
GemPages supports payment through PayPal. You will need to provide your PayPal account information to receive payments.
9. Do I need a Tax ID?
Tax ID is an identification number used for tax purposes and is reflected in the invoices. You can leave this field empty if you do not have a valid Tax ID.
10. Are my earnings taxable?
Yes, your earnings may be subject to income tax depending on your local tax regulations. As a GemPages Partner, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are compliant with VAT regulations.
11. Why is my payout late?
Late payouts can occur due to processing delays or if you’ve recently established your account and your earnings have not yet reached the minimum payout threshold. Please check your account status and contact support if you have concerns.
Other
1. How can I cancel my Partner Account?
If you want to delete your partner account, please reach out to your Account Manager or the support team through Live Chat.
2. What happens if I violate GemPages Program Agreement?
GemPages reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and cancel all commission payments due if you violate any Program Agreement. Check out our Affiliate Agreement for more details.
