How to Add a YouTube Short to Your Shopify Page

YouTube Shorts are short-form videos (under 60 seconds) and can be a great way to engage your customers. You can easily add a YouTube Short to your landing page, homepage, product page, or any other GemPages layout.

Step 1: Copy the YouTube Short URL

• Go to the YouTube Shorts video.
• Click the Share button and copy the full URL (e.g., https://youtube.com/shorts/abc123xyz).

Step 2: Open GemPages Editor
From your GemPages Dashboard, open the page you want to edit.

Step 3: Add the Video Element

• On the left sidebar, search for the Video element.
• Drag and drop it onto your page where you want the Short to appear.

Step 4: Paste the YouTube Short URL

• Select the Video element on the canvas.
• In the right sidebar under the “Video URL” field, paste your YouTube Short link.
• Make sure the video loads in the preview.

Step 5: Adjust the Settings (Optional)

• You can change the width, height, and alignment of the video.
• Enable autoplay or mute as needed.

Step 6: Click Save and Publish.

Tips for Best Results

• Use a responsive width like 100% to make sure the video looks good on all screen sizes.
• Avoid using multiple autoplay videos on one page, as it may affect load time.
• If you don’t see the video after publishing, clear your browser cache or test in incognito mode.
