Update your product price and currency format

This article will guide you through the steps to modify the currency format and the product price in Shopify Admin.

Change currency and currency format

Step 1: Go to your Shopify Admin > Settings > Store Details.

Step 2: Scroll down to the Store Currency section, kindly click Change Formatting.

Step 3: In each of the fields, replace {{amount}} with the currency format that you want to use and Save. Shopify supports 05 currency format options, check out this Shopify article to learn more.

As a Shopify policy: Regardless of what currency format you choose, your store’s checkout will always show decimal places.

Update product price

The (P) Price element fetches data from Shopify, therefore, you need to update the price in the Shopify Admin.

Step 1: Go to Shopify Admin > Products > All Products, and select your product. Choose a variant to update its price and hit Edit, a new product panel will open.

Step 2: Update the price in the Pricing section.

Step 3: Hit “Save“. The next time you open the GemPages Editor, your product price will be updated.
