How to Install & Set Up UpPromote Affiliate Marketing

Step 1: Install UpPromote Affiliate Marketing in the Shopify App Store. 

Step 2: Provide the app with access to the required data. After installation, you’ll be redirected to the UpPromote Dashboard.

Step 3: You’ll see the Welcome Aboard screen. UpPromote will ask about your starting point to personalize your setup. For example, if you’re new, select Just getting started, then click Recruit Affiliates to continue.

Step 4: Click Get Started to begin the onboarding process.

Step 5: Complete all fields in the Program Settings section:

• Tracking Method: Choose how to track affiliate activity.
  • Affiliate link (default method)
  • Coupon code
  • Both options
• Commission Type: Choose one of the following:
  • Percent of sale
  • Flat rate per item
  • Flat rate per order
• Commission Amount: Enter your desired rate or value.
• Subpath Setting: Define a subpath (part of your URL) that generates custom Affiliate Registration and Login links for your program.

Once done, click Save and Next.

Step 6: Create an Affiliate Account. Follow the prompts to create your affiliate account.

Step 7: After creation, activate the account and click Next to proceed.

Step 8: UpPromote will generate a tracking link for your affiliate program.

• Click the link to test it.
• Once confirmed, return to your dashboard.

Step 9: Select a preferred payout method. After completing this step, click Save and Next to finalize your setup.

How to Add UpPromote Affiliate Marketing to GemPages v7?

Once your UpPromote setup is complete, you can embed affiliate forms directly on your GemPages-built pages.

Step 1: In your Shopify Admin, open GemPages.Select the page where you want to add the affiliate form and click Edit to open it in the Editor.

Step 2: In the left sidebar, search for UpPromote. Drag and drop the desired UpPromote widget (Affiliate Signup Form or Referral Signup Form) onto your page.

Click Save and then Publish to make the changes live.
